5 delicious dining room paint colours

Planning to give your dining room a makeover and looking for a bit of inspiration? While many people once thought (and not too long ago) that red was the best colour for a dining room, the crimson tide has definitely taken a turn. Of course, as with all aspects of interior decorating, the most important rule is to make yourself happy. So if a red room is still your thing, then by all means.

However, if the current state of your dining room leaves a bad taste in your mouth, then there’s no easier fix than to swipe on a fresh coat (or two) of paint. So, with that in mind, we’ve searched the internet (ok, Pinterest) for some tasty pictures to help get your creative juices flowing.

Here are 5 delicious dining room colours to help you revitalize your most appetizing space.

Charcoal

When you want to go dark, but not too dark, then the best option for your dining room may be charcoal. It is quite literally in that gray area between black and white, and quite lovely against bright white trim.

Navy

Speaking of dark, navy (or whatever the various paint companies are calling it this year) is an excellent dining colour. There is something incredible calming about it. Perhaps that makes it good for digestion … but don’t quote us on that.

Whitewashed

Of course we realize that this is not technically a colour on its own. However, with the increasing popularity of farmhouse, rustic and cottage styles, we certainly think that it’s worth noting here.

Tan

A good neutral will always serve you well in most any room. It also tends to cross several design languages so whether you’re going to coastal, traditional or farmhouse it should fit right in.

Pink?

Yes! Of course we realize that pink is by no means for everyone, but hear us out. When subtle (not too baby, bubble gum or Barbie), pink can have a moment as a dining room colour… or perhaps it’s this specific dining room that has us thinking pink.
