6 times a painted fireplace stole the show

Let us start off by suggesting that stone and brick-loving fireplace purists avert their gaze, because this post is all about painted fireplaces. We know, for some people the idea of painting brick is horrifying.  However, we have seen some incredibly beautiful painted fireplaces. Here is a look at some of our favourites!

Wonderfully White

There’s something very holiday-esque about this white stone fireplace. It makes us want to sip cocoa and Baileys, while watching an Irving Berlin musical.

Black Beauty

There is just so much that we enjoy about this room. The black brick seems be letting those brass details have a genuine moment. And, how interesting is it that the black brick acts as a camouflage for the TV? If you squint, it’s almost as if the TV isn’t there at all? You just tried it, didn’t you?

The Grey Area

Truth be told, that magnificent Eames chair is giving the fireplace a serious run for its money! However, in the moments that we’re able to look away from its mid century modern loveliness, we truly do enjoy this deliciously dark shade of gray and the way that it plays with the wood in the room.

Terrific in Teal

This deep teal fireplace isn’t just a pop of colour in an otherwise white room, it’s an explosion!  Theoretically, a teal fireplace sounds questionable at best; however, the execution is really quite lovely.

Whitewashed Wonder

The whitewashing on this brick fireplace gives it and the room an incredible amount of character. Opting for a wash rather than slathering on an opaque colour allows the brick to breathe and lend its natural beauty to the room.
