Oh fabulous fall. How we love everything about you –your colours, your coziness, your complete lack of hyper-aggressive wasps. Of course, one of our favourite things about fall is seasonal décor changes. The colours get richer, and more natural elements come into play. There’s also a more pronounced feeling of family that seems to weave its way through vignettes of pumpkins, wheat, and leaves.
This year, we’ve turned to 5 of our favourite Canadian home and lifestyle bloggers for fall decorating inspiration. You might not realize it, but right now, Canada has been blessed with a crop of extremely talented bloggers and home designers. They design in the popular styles of the day, but infuse them with an aesthetic that is unmistakably Canadian.
The following fall interiors from Clean and Scentsible, The Happy Housie, Craftberry Bush, AKA Designs, and The DIY Mommy are not only beautiful, but also highly relatable. Here’s a glimpse at their latest Ode to Fall.

This bold Farmhouse Look from Clean and Scentsible utilizes the classic leaves and colours of the season, but does so in a way that makes them more of a subtle accent than a bold overture. The wood plank over the table runner adds just the right height, and the purity of the white tableware unifies the entire look.

This cheerful welcome from The Happy Housie incorporates this year’s unexpected autumn hue –turquoise. The wheat sheaves unequivocally communicate fall, while the seagrass basket and turquoise accents remove some of the weight that can sometimes come with autumn décor. The result is an entryway that’s both seasonal and light all at once.

Christina of DIY Mommy has definitely utilized one of the big colours for fall 2017 in her dining room. The deep teal plays into the trend of rich greens that we’re seeing. The chunky throw blanket, natural accents and intriguing macramé runner help to create a space that’s high on personality and pleasingly light on pumpkin spice.
Note: If you love the look of that macramé table runner, Christina has a tutorial on her blog to help you make your own.

The traditional, rustic colours and imagery of fall are on full display in this charming entryway by AKA Design’s Shannon Acheson. The combination of the richly hued pumpkin stack alongside soothing neutrals creates a truly delightful welcome.
Craftberry Bush – //www.craftberrybush.com

This inviting fall living room from Craftberry Bush has that coveted mix of looking both comfortable and stylish. This is definitely not a “museum room”. And while the white pumpkin and smoke tree vignette is very subtle, it still lends a feeling a fall to the space. This is a masterful example of minimalist seasonal decorating.
Fall has only just begun, so we know that there’s bound to be much more inspiration to come from Canada’s home décor and lifestyle bloggers. We will definitely be on the lookout for all of the wonderful ways they choose to inspire us next.
