Canadian One Room Challenge™ participant takes bathroom from bland to beautiful

If you’ve never heard of the One Room Challenge™, get ready for your newest obsession. We’ve been big fans of the ORC for several years. This bi-annual event allows interior designers and influences to flex their home reno muscles by completely redesigning one room (along with photo and text documentation) over a span of 6 weeks.

This past May, we were particularly impressed by one participant’s gorgeous bathroom renovation.  Erin Kestenbaum is a Connecticut-based Canadian expat who took on a complete master bathroom gut job and transformed it into a beautifully chic space that embraces colour and flawless high style.

The Highlights

Erin Kestenbaum took this master bath went from builder-grade blah to phenomenal in six weeks. Along with some structural changes and improvements to the insulation, some key design choices took this renovation the next level. These choices include:

  • Panel Mounding
  • Carrara Marble Flooring
  • Vintage Fixtures in Gold
  • Vintage Lighting Accents
  • An Impeccable Use of Colour

But enough from us … Take a look at this inspiring bathroom by Erin Kestenbaum!
