The design couple behind HGTV’s Fixer Upper have recently worked on their own project: renovating their home! The couple’s blog goes into extensive detail about the kind of work that went into their farmhouse. The end result? A beautiful finished product they’re happy to show off!
Please note: each of the photos featured in this blog post belong to Magnolia Homes, Chip and Joanna’s home building company.
Farmhouse History
According to the Gaines’ blog post, the couple has always dreamed of living on a farm. This home was purchased in 2012 and it took 18 months to complete the project.
Some of the work involved included:
- Adding a master bedroom;
- Reconfiguring the walls of the home;
- Open up the main living, dining and kitchen areas;
- Finish the upstairs.
Sounds like a lot of work! They also specified that the home was built in 1985, so you can imagine how much work went into it!
Below is a gallery of photos the couple featured on their website – and it looks absolutely stunning!
