Design the perfect baby’s nursery (PHOTOS)

Everyone deserves a perfect bedroom space, and so does your unborn child! If your family has a little one on the way, welcome them with open arms and a beautifully designed bedroom space. It might be time to call an architect or even a carpenter to help you build out a space. Once the structure is up, it’s time to paint and shop for furniture!

Give it a theme

Animals, sailboats, you name it, you can decorate it! Stick to the theme throughout the room by adding wallpaper or decor pieces that accentuate your chosen theme.

Stick to a colour palette

This might be difficult if you’re keeping your baby’s sex a surprise. If you’re not, kudos to you! You’ll have extra time to perfect the baby’s room. Give the room a pop of colour. Opt for neutral/whites if you want a subtle room, a splash of green for vibrancy, or a luxurious fuscia to really make a statement.

Add small touches of detail

Adorn the walls with pieces of art, maybe spell out your baby’s name with block letters. Capture those first intimate moments when they’re born and place them up on the wall. Your baby won’t know the difference, but with pictures (and provided the room’s decor doesn’t change that much except swapping out a crib for a big boy or girl bed!), your baby can bask in the homeyness of his/her space.

Go all out!

Whether it’s your first baby or your third, this is their first bedroom! No matter what colour or design you’re opting for, be sure to go all out! Matching throws, pillows, artwork and more. It might seem like a lot, but once the space comes together, you won’t regret your decisions.
