Post a Project
Today, we’re going to walk you through the most important step in using the eRenovate app –Posting a Project.
When you post a project you’re giving contractors a window into your home improvement needs. That’s why it’s important to provide as much information as possible.
Step 1 – Sign Up or Sign In
This is the first screen you’ll encounter after clicking the Post a Project button. Simply enter your email address and a password. If this is your first time using eRenovate, you will be prompted to enter a password to create your free account.
Step 2 –What and Where
The next step is to provide the project postal code. This ensures that your project will go only to contractors who service your area.
You also need to choose a category and a descriptive name for your project. Ensure that the name tells potential contractors exactly what this project is about. For example: Small Kitchen Renovation, Basement Apartment Conversion, or New Deck.
Step 3 – Add Images
Oftentimes, the best way to convey what you want to accomplish with a project is to use pictures. That’s why eRenovate wants you to include images when you Post A Project. These can be images of the existing space, or even inspirational photos saved from Pinterest, Instagram or other places online.
Step 4 – Clarify Your Project
This step involves answering a series of short questions to help eRenovate and the contractors get a better understanding of your projects needs. These questions will vary based on the category your project falls under. These questions may ask about preferred finishes, desired details, when you would like the work to begun, and how old your house is, among other things.
Step 5 – Add Any Unique Project Details
This is where you can expand on your project needs. Don’t be afraid to add any details you might think of, no matter how big or small. Doing so will help eRenovate connect you with the right contractors for the job.
Step 6 – Budgetary Details
List your budget and whether you plan to finance the project.
Step 7 – Submit Your Project
The last step is to hit the submit button. The final screen will share a confirmation of your received project, tell you how many verified pros match your project needs, and let you know when you can expect to hear from these pros.
You can also expect to receive a confirmation email thanking your for posting your project.
Then, all that’s left is to relax and wait to hear from the pros. When someone responds to your project, you will receive a notification either via the app or your email inbox. From there, you can compare different pros, call them, send an email or request a call. You can even request a meeting. It’s all up to you!
