Welcome to the third installment of Joanne’s Backyard. This week we’ll not only get a look at the progress of her new patio, but also at a few surprises.
Look at what was waiting for Joanne on her raised patio when she got home one night courtesy of Dreamscape Design.
Shortly after the appearance of the tiny stone monument, Joanne managed to capture the elusive squirrel that had been plaguing her yard on her iPhone. We are informed that the little chipmunk is next.
It isn’t all squirrels and Inukshuks in her yard, there are also beautiful plants that have managed to survive some very cold nights! Does anyone know what this flower is called?
Now for what you have all been waiting for… an update on the progress of her backyard oasis! The bench and fire pit area are now 95% complete. I can already begin to imagine the BBQs that will be held around the blazing fire pit.
Here is another look at the bench and fire pit area at a different angle.
We’re not sure what is showing in this image aside from a mess, but apparently Dreamscape had to take down another fence panel while they were working on the waterfall.
Dreamscape Design created a spot for a lovely flower garden out of the leftover stone from the patio. We asked Joanne how she felt about this change to her original design. She told us she loves it and is excited about how it will look when it’s finished.
Next week we’ll see more of the waterfall. In this picture we just see its outline.
You just have to love the graceful curve of this raised deck, and the fallen leaves add a special flare to this picture.
What do you think Joanne should plant in her new garden? Help her out by telling us in the comment section!
