Have you ever found yourself watching television, lusting over the grand kitchens you see? This couple had similar feelings about a very iconic kitchen. They’re transforming their kitchen to resemble that of The Simpsons – yes, you read that right! Wonder what a kitchen specialist would think about this?
The Inspiration

Marcia Andreychuk and Joel Hamilton are big fans of The Simpsons, they tell CBC News. When it came time to remodel their kitchen, they turned to their favourite television show for inspiration. According to the CBC, it was Marcia’s idea.
“This idea just popped into my head and I pitched it to Joel — kind of as a way to get his buy-in to spend money on doing some renovations,” she told the news network.
The Renovation
Feeling inspired, they set out to renovate. Taking a framed photograph of the kitchen, Marcia and Joel set out to replicate the look in their own home. She searched online for corn cob-patterned fabric for the window curtains.
Next up was the searching for door knobs for the cabinets. While the couple is searching for green appliances, their current project involves covering their countertops, cabinetry and fridge with contact paper. They tell the CBC it’s similar to shelf liner.
