Another March Break has rolled around. You need time to plan for spring renovations, but that might be difficult if the kids are looking for something to do! Why not make this March Break a fun experience for the whole family? This year’s National Home Show is designed to inspire home renovators, gardeners and more, while keeping the kids entertained too!
Visit this year’s National Home Show and Canada Blooms, North America’s largest home and garden event. Doors open on Friday, March 13 until Sunday, March 22 at the Direct Energy Centre at the Exhibition Place in Toronto. If you’re planning a spring renovation or need some ideas for your garden before the warm weather hits, then you won’t want to miss what the show has to offer.
One of the more popular events at the show, the Destination Renovation booth gives homeowners the opportunity to talk with expert renovators one-on-one! These consultations are on a first-come, first-serve basis, so be sure to get in there quick!
Anyone watch Cityline? That’s where you might recognize Colin and Justin, the Scottish design duo. The interior designers will be at the show to inspire visitors with styling tricks to take your home to the next level. If you’re planning on selling your property, they’ll also tell you how to improve the value of your home.
Here’s what they want show visitors to know:
Have a design dilemma that needs solving? Let the interior design experts at the show help you with that! The Design Dilemma booth will have interior designers, decorators and reno experts on-hand to help you work through your dilemmas. They’ll be providing 15-minute consultations. Be prepared with your favourite photos, samples and even floor plans to make the most out of your appointment.
Can’t find a babysitter for the kids? Bring them along for an afternoon! On Monday, March 16, kids will have the chance to get up close and personal with a variety of animals, including a 6-month old tiger! Take them to get their face painted – it’ll be the highlight of their National Home Show visit. Best of all, Spiderman will be making an appearance that day! After entertaining the kids, maybe he’ll have some thoughts on home renovation and design.
Gardeners unite! The home show wouldn’t be complete without Canada Blooms, the country’s largest flower and garden festival. It will feature over 50,000 square feat of gardens from 30 different experts. Spring is symbolic of rejuvenation, regeneration and hope. What better time to start thinking about your garden than now?
