Sunrooms
Sunrooms are excellent options for homes. They welcome sunlight in, and can be great places to house flowers and other plants. Open Porches

However, you should remember that these areas are exposed – there’s no means of cooling the porch, other than a ceiling fan. In addition, it’s exposed to the elements. A hard rain with the right amount of wind will send water onto your porch.

Ultimately, the decision here is up to you. You should make that decision based on how you intend to use the space. If you want an area filled with light, but where you can control the temperature, then a sunroom is the best option. If you prefer fresh air, then an open porch is ideal. With either option, make sure you speak with your general contractor about what you want in terms of style, usability and construction features.
