Toronto Electrician: HSP Electrical

Who is behind HSP Electrical?

David Ciccoritti has always enjoyed working with his hands and in his own words, “Building, designing and creating are my soul.” He has been a licensed electrician for 20 years and for 14 of them he worked for various contractors. David has known Anthony, the owner of Heritage Electrical Contracting, for thirteen years and has listened to his ideas and plans for modernizing HSP for a number of years before he joined Heritage.

Anthony Caravaggio was a civil engineer before his father Fernando asked him to work with him in the electrical field. Fernando has been a Master Electrician since the 60s and worked with a partner for a number of years before they went their separate ways. Fernando then decided to create Heritage Electrical Contracting with his son in 1998.

Five years ago, in 2008, Anthony and David went to work together at the Toronto based HSP Electrical, an off shoot of Heritage Electrical Contracting.

Fernando still works at HSP, even though he is two years past retirement, and enjoys every minute of it!

What makes HSP Electrical different than other Toronto electricians?

In 2008, Heritage Electrical Contracting created HSP Electrical. HSP Electrical is a division of Heritage Service Plus (HSP). HSP Electrical provides Toronto electricians and electrical services to the GTA, including Hamilton, Barrie and even at times Ottawa.

David and Anthony both shared a vision of bringing HSP Electrical into the modern age. They rebranded the business, wrapped their trucks, gave their electricians uniforms, iPads and iPhones, developed a website and brochures, and standardized their pricing and procedures. That was just the tip of the iceberg. They went on to embed GPS trackers on all their trucks, added credit card machines to ease the method of payment, cloudshared their products with all their Toronto electricians online, and are even now developing a brand new website that will be even more informative than the current one.

Toronto HSP Electricians can bring up jobs, reports, prices and even quote with their iPads while they are with a customer when it is needed.

But beyond all the hi-tech gadgets, they have worked hard to ensure that their Toronto electricians always provide fantastic service. From showing up when they are scheduled, to putting on booties when needed, to making sure their workspace is as clean as it was when they first came in.

HSP Electrical runs background checks on all new employees and makes sure that their Licensed Toronto electricians are well trained, up to code and properly insured. Electricians are even available 24/7 for emergencies.

HSP Electrical has doubled in size since they first started and gained over a thousand new customers. They went from two Toronto electricians to eleven in the period of five years.

The company is not afraid to try new avenues of business; in fact they acquired a bucket truck so that they could more fully serve their clients. They are also willing to come in on any size job, from changing a light bulb to doing the electrical work on a new custom home. In one day they might be changing outdoor lights at someone’s home and then moving off to replace the bulbs at a warehouse.

What does HSP Electrical specialize in?

“Our biggest forte is our versatility,” David explained, “we can do so much in the field, and we really have done it all.”

They do not specialize in any one electrical service. Their services include knob and tube replacement in century old homes, the installation of light fixtures (pot lights included), full home wiring, and providing excellent customer service.

HSP Electrical is proud to be set up and ready for any Toronto electrical problem.

What does David Ciccoritti enjoy about his work?

David enjoys all the problems and challenges that spring up with business development. Secondly, he enjoys the customers. “I like happy customers. I enjoy taking care of them, solving their issues and hearing a thank you at the end of the day.”
