There were two wonderfully unique bedrooms on display at the 2012 Interior Design Show. One was glamorously feminine, and the other rustically masculine.
Nord South Interiors created this incredibly luxurious bedroom. The design incorporated a tufted headboard with crystal buttons, rhinestones stitched into the bedding and crystal belts wrapped around the pillows. The stone veneer created a contrast between the soft silken bed and the hard textured walls. Over-sized lamps, a glamorous chandelier and mirrored nightstands give this room all the glitz and glamour you could want.
Timothy Oulton created the UpCountry bedroom display. The rustic industrial design features make this rough space very masculine. A fur bed spread in bold colors of black and orange are framed by an antique leather headboard and footboard. The designer used faux vintage metal suitcases to create a desk, nightstands and storage units. Chandelier lamps add class and they contrast sharply with the otherwise rustic industrial design. Notice the heavy duty light as well. Leather, fur, metal and over-sized furniture create a space anyone could fall in love with!
