Women in home improvement

While the percentage of women working in Canada’s home improvement and home renovation industries remains small, it is growing. According to a recent study on Canadian women in skilled trades, more women are choosing to become electricians, welders, and interior finishers (Media Planet) now than in the ever before.

This past spring, visited the Young Women’s Conference in Toronto, where we spoke with conference organizer Jules Lewis about the future of Canadian women in the home renovation industry. Here is what she had to say:
