Cambium Environmental grew out of the Environmental Services Consulting Group at SGS Lakefield Research Ltd. The Environmental Services Consulting Group has been providing environmental services since 1989. In May 2006, Cambium Environmental Inc. purchased the Environmental Services Consulting Group from SGS Lakefield Research Ltd.
