Only hands on experience taught us how to deal with winters like the ones we have had. We were proud to make it though January 1999, when Mayor Mel Lastman had to call in the army. Toronto seen 118cm during a two week period. That didn't stop the Cloverhill army. We were so proud of how our staff all pulled together and stepped up to make it through those tough times. Our biggest challenge was getting through the streets with all the abandoned vehicles. It took time, but we got everything done.
