Leo Mascioli Constructor was founded and the brothers proceeded to work for the local mines, build roads and established many businesses in their new home town and Northern Ontario. There was Empire Bakery, Empire Bowling Lanes, Empire Hotel, Victory Theatre, Palace Theatre , Timmins Garage to name a few and of course the construction arm to erect them. In 1938 it was officially renamed Mascioli Construction Co. Ltd. Under the umbrella of Mascioli Construction the firm established a quarry, block plant, pipe plant and ready-mix plant. Subsequently, upon the passing of the founders, Norm Mascioli son of Antonio gained ownership of Mascioli Construction Co. Ltd. and Timmins Garage Inc. Mascioli Enterprises is still operating in Timmins as a separate entity. Today, Mascioli Construction is a civil contractor dealing mostly with road work, subdivision development, equipment rentals, sand and gravel, and operates a retail yard (Mascioli’s Brick Yard) selling house bricks, interlocking pavers and all associated product. As we are nearing the 100 th anniversary of the Mascioli name in Timmins our firm is very proud to have been part of its heritage.
