We return mold impacted environments to normal or Condition 1 by diagnosing and removing mold impacted source materials but we do not stop with just removing mold. We identify the source cause of the mold. It should then be repaired so the mold does not return. If the mold is removed without addressing the source problem, the mold will return. This specialization and approach distinguishes mold.ca from other mold abatement firms and other general contractors. We follow strict inspection and testing protocols ensuring that your indoor environment is diligently inspected and not unnecessarily disrupted. We are proud to have CMIs Certified Mold Inspectors on staff trained in the proper procedures for mold inspection and testing. When doing a mold inspection we follow a process that includes, Interview. We often begin by interviewing occupants to determine if they are experiencing symptoms which may indicate the presence of molds in the environment. Building Assessment. An assessment of the building history is performed. Have there been incidences of water intrusion, damage, high humidity, flooding, or renovations. Mold spores need water to grow and any past history of water intrusion or humidity may point to areas of concern for the investigator. Outdoor visual clues include, construction deficiencies, staining on stucco or siding, grading and drainage issues. Inspection. After the assessment of the building history, the investigator visually inspects the indoor environment for persistent dampness, indicators of mold growth and the presence of visible mold. Should any visible mold be found, you will be informed immediately. Should toxic molds, such as Stachybotrys, be found or suspected, you will be notified and a suggested course of action will be outlined. In some cases, no mold is found nor suspected. In other situations, sampling of a suspicious area may be necessary to identify a pathogenic mold species or confirm mold presence. CALL US NOW @ 416 504 0333
