Wanted to replaced too wide, splintering wood railing with new aluminum mix of glass and picket rail on 7 year old deck.
Got a couple of contract quotes and was please with Joe's response and honesty. Because our deck is not overly large (8X8) we chose to have railing mounted on the outside, instead of on the deck floor. The front centre is a 6 foot glass rail, the rest including stairs, picket. Due to outer application Joe had to use a different supplier than his normal go-to; however, rail was ready for installation in 3 weeks. When Joe's co-worker, Nico, came to install, it took him a long time to remove the old wooden picket rail; however, he was very meticulous when it came to time install the new, double checking levels. One problem, when Nico started the work he discovered the supplier did not provide plugs (for drill holes), nor the proper caps - he notified Joe of the problem. Joe got these items as soon as he was able, and installed them quickly (in pouring rain). New rail looks great, and it is a real pleasure now to be able to grasp the rail as one goes down the stairs without fears of slivers. All the old deck was removed by Joe. Definitely would recommend RJ Aluminum Railings.
