Buying with one of the more established builders in the city made it a little easier at least because they do this so often they know the drills. I bought a Claridge condo downtown a few years ago when I got a job downtown, and it's been alright. There were a few hassles re: move-in date, fixtures, etc, but I hear this is pretty common. Overall, I'm happy where I'm living because it's affordable and the condo fees have stayed pretty much the same (low) the entire time I've been here. In terms of overall experience, when I make my next move to a house they'd still be a contender.
