We used Domestic Impressions for a couple of years. We were new to the area and didn’t have many options. They were a real problem to deal with. When they were in our house, they had no sensitivity to the fact that they were there. They would shout at the top of their lungs to each other all over the house – there was no quiet place when they were there. They completely took over the kitchen - we couldn’t even make a cup of tea if they were there. They often showed up late – by a couple of hours – sometimes a day or two. It was not unusual for them to just forget that they were supposed to come. They did only what we specifically asked them to do - if there was dirt on the threshold, they would just step over it, if we didn’t specifically ask them to clean it. Carol Hemming always treated us as though she was doing us an enormous favour. Yes, it was clean (where we asked them to clean), but it was really awful to have them in our house.
Their billing system is a nightmare. They sent us emails saying we owed them money, then it turned out that we didn’t owe them money. They just kept sending us contradictory emails. It was a complete mess, but they just refused to respond when we tried to figure it out. They seem to have an automated billing system that just kept sending out the same wrong information. Carol Hemming was impolite, to say the least, when we tried to engage to straighten this all out.
In short, they may get the house clean, but they put their customers through a lot of nonsense – generally not professional
